What is a smart meter?
A smart meter is a digital electricity meter that measures your consumption and sends the readings automatically to the utility, removing the need for manual meter reading.
Reading your meter display
- Press the display button to scroll through the screens.
- Note the cumulative kWh reading and the available balance (for prepaid).
- Compare with the portal's consumption view to verify.
Only authorised staff with a valid ID card should install or inspect your meter. Never share OTPs with anyone.
